Additional Description: The New Auto Toy Store is proud to present this 1957 Porsche 356 Speedeter replica made by Intermeccanica in 1979. This car is 1 of the early builds from the total of 660 Manufactured and 1 of only a handfull of flareside convertables made. This particular outlaw speedster has a 2275 cc motor pushing 140HP with dual webber carbs and is in new condition, the car has plenty of power for cruising around town, it has plenty of power to get in and out of traffic, no worries of pulling on the freeway and merging into traffic, theres plenty of go, and its a blast to drive, the original Speedeter had about 90HP. These cars built by Intermeccanica were supposed to be built better than the actual Speedster itself, and this particular car has alot more power than the original car. The engine was built from a Rimco magnesium full flow case, pro scat 82mm strokecrank,CB performance H rods, 94 mm Mahle pistons and cylinders CB perf big valve heads, eagle FK-10 cam, CB performance 1.25 rocker assembly dual 48IDA weber carbs, Gene Berg 3.0 oil sump, Gene Berg solid engine mount, Gene berg ballanced and welded cooling fan, Oberg oil filter, Gene Berg throttle linkage, and powder coated engine tins, the list goes on.. there is a folder that comes with the car showing all receipts and even the actual Intermeccanica pamphlet that came with the car from new. These flareside speedeter cars by Intermeccanica are becoming harder to find and being that there were only a handful produced, there most likely isnt that many left on the road. Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1957 Porsche 356 recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 1957 Porsche 356 problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.
